What made me "round-up" to a 4-star rating was the exceptional characters and interesting quirks throughout the story. Thanks for telling us about the problem. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. I can't handle some of the things that go thr ALL the eyes. The dialogue between characters seamlessly informs us what things look like and how people are acting without the irritating pages of metaphor that nocturbal appear in other books.

The depth of detail in all the different characters and when I say characters, I mean charactersSigler makes the smallest of them so damn interesting shows how skilled he is in his world building. I can see why those detail were necessary because the creatures had to be described in raw detail to make them more real.
